Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh) – Transport Engineering Laboratory

The Aristotle University of Thessaloniki is the largest university in Greece, with many years of academic and research activity. The Transport Engineering Laboratory, Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki participates in this project as coordinator and lead partner. It has been operating for four decades, with the aim of supporting academic education in the field of Transport Planning, but also the development of new, in terms of technology and development, innovative tools and techniques in current transport issues, contributing significantly to the promotion of research in the field of transport.

University of Macedonia

The University of Macedonia has operated for more than 60 years and consists of 8 Departments. The Department of Educational & Social Policy was established in 1993, and the first students were admitted to the Department in September 1997. The objectives of the Department are to enhance the development of lifelong learning and adult education; to educate and train people with disabilities or special educational needs; to contribute to the planning, development and evaluation of institutions & structures of educational policy; and finally, to provide graduates with the appropriate knowledge, skills and attitudes for a successful educational and career development.

University of Crete (UoC) – Department of Political Science

The University of Crete (UoC) is one of the largest universities in Greece, with many years of academic and research activity. The Department of Political Science, University of Crete participates in this project as a research partner. It has been operating for four decades, with the aim of supporting academic education in the field of Political Science, but also the development of new, innovative tools and techniques in current issues about Political Science, contributing significantly to the promotion of research in the field of political and social science.

INEMY-ESEE

The Institute of Commerce and Services (ΙΝ.ΕΜ.Υ.) is the official scientific institute of the Hellenic Confederation of Commerce & Entrepreneurship (ESEE). Its role is to study and analyze in depth the issues of trade and services, in order to contribute substantially to the formation and scientific documentation of the positions and proposals of E.S.E.E.

Municipality of Thessaloniki (MoT)

The second most populous municipality in Greece and based on the 2011 census has a permanent population of 325,182 inhabitants. It includes the historic center of the city of Thessaloniki and the surrounding areas.

Region of Central Macedonia (RCM)

Τhe largest and second most populous region in Greece. It is administratively a secondary governmental organization and covers the central part of Macedonia, with the exception of the Mount Athos peninsula.

Thessaloniki Transport Authority (TheTA)

TheTA S.A. has a public service purpose, operates in the public interest and is supervised by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transportation. It aims at the development, coordination and monitoring of public urban transport; urban bus, ground and underground, railed or sea transport services in the Regional Unity of Thessaloniki via an integrated, high-quality transport system based on the principles of sustainable mobility.
